Coupled with the globalized responsibility is a new opportunity. Perhaps, like never before, we can value the calling of God upon anyone in any vocation, to serve the Lord where they are placed. Just as the scheme of globalized missional calling implies universal responsibility, what Escobar calls "The Gospel from Everywhere to Everyone” (Escobar: 2003), it interjects universal opportunity. Though we will undoubtedly continue to send professional missionaries, people whose primary calling and vocation is to cross-cultural Christian ministry, we can now more fully appreciate the trans-migratory nature of life as a contemporary Son or daughter of God in the 21st Century. Simply put, you are God’s servant right now, where you are, and tomorrow, you will continue to be God’s servant no matter where He places you.
Now, let’s get down to brass tacks. Do you know where God is asking you to engage in the globalized mission of the Church? Are you prepared to do that task well? Do you have the resources and skill sets you will need to be successful in your service of the Master? Working Your Way to the Nations, a twelve week course sponsored on this site, is designed to provide you with the needed resources to make an informed decision. Illumination and guidance is what we pray the Holy Spirit will give you!
